How To Install Google Chrome Extensions

Hello friends, In this tutorial am gonna show you the method to install extension in google chrome step by step. You can install google chrome extensions from google chrome web store or manually from third party sources.

Chrome plugins are helps you to boost chrome performance and browsing experience. There are tons of extensions available in web store for more features like taking screen shots, Blocking ads, Customize browser appearance.

Some additional features of chrome doesn't available in chrome browser officially due to chrome terms. But you can use extensions to get more functions and features.

Installing Extension via chrome web store is easy to follow. You just need to click on the add to chrome button for adding extension. For example: adding ad block plus extension for block ads in chrome browser.

But third party extensions are hard to install and you need to load them directly via extension page. So here am sharing this beginner guide to install google chrome extensions. Just follow the given procedures in your google chrome web browser.

How To Install Google Chrome Extension :

Open google chrome browser in your desktop pc or laptop. Now click on the chrome apps in bookmarks bar and open web store. It will show you all popular chrome extensions to use in your chrome browser.

Now tap the extension you want to add In Google chrome browser. Then it will show a popup in screen with the add To chrome button.

Simply Tap on Add To Chrome button. It will start downloading extension and you will get extension icon on top right of your chrome browser. You can view the extension to use it's feature in chrome by tap on it.

This method is easy to follow and you can add unlimited extensions in your google chrome browser using this method.

If you have third party chrome extension and want to install it on Google chrome. Then follow the below method. This process takes small time to install chrome extension manually.

Install Chrome Extension Manually :

Download the extension zip file in your local disk and copy the location of your extension file. Extensions are basically filed as .crx file. So that extract your extension zip folder and copy the crx file location before proceed to installing extension.

Open chrome://extensions/ in your chrome browser and it will open chrome extensions page. Here near search box enable the Developer Mode. It will show you additional options to load unpacked extension, pack extension and update currently Installed extensions.

Now tap on Load Extension and choose the downloaded chrome extension folder you want To add in google chrome. Choose the folder and click on the OK button. Then it will load extension in your chrome browser and you will get icon on top right corner of your chrome browser.

Finally you are done. Enjoy your extension In google chrome and start use. Choose the folder of extension carefully. Otherwise you may face some troubles to install extension.

Once you install extension, and it's start working. Disable developer mode for your chrome security. This will improve your google chrome security and speed.
